Camp Policies & Guidelines

Youth Camp Guidelines and Policies Camp Authority:
Arnold Rybak serves as the Youth Pastor and, while under the oversight of the Sulamita elders, holds final authority on all matters regarding camp policies and rules throughout the youth camp. He is also responsible for determining whether a camper should be sent home due to illness, safety concerns, or failure to comply with camp guidelines.

Personal Responsibility
Campers and their legal guardians are responsible for any medical expenses, personal property losses, or other costs incurred during the camp. This includes but is not limited to illness, injury, emergency care, or damage caused by the camper. By attending camp, participants acknowledge and accept this responsibility.

General Expectations
To ensure a safe, respectful, and spiritually enriching experience for everyone, all campers are expected to follow the rules and guidelines outlined below.

Safety First
Safety is a top priority at all youth camps. Every camper and staff member must act in a way that promotes both personal safety and the safety of others.

1.Know your physical limits—do not attempt anything that could put you or others at risk of injury.
2.You are your best advocate. If you're uncomfortable with a physical activity, respectfully opt out.
3.Always notify a designated staff member before leaving the main camp area or going on a hike.

General Conduct
1.We expect every camper to show respect in all areas of camp life.
2.Arrive on time for services, meals, and scheduled activities.
3.Adhere to designated wake-up and bedtime schedules.
3.Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
4.Clean up after yourself—and help others—especially after meals and evening fellowships.
5.Please avoid talking during services.
6.Be fully present during services—spiritual renewal is the heart of youth camp.

Cabin Guidelines
1.Cabins are divided by gender—please sign in on the door of the cabin you are staying in.
2.One bed per person, please.
3.Show kindness and consideration to your cabin-mates.
4.Keep your cabin neat and tidy.
5.Dispose of all trash properly.
6.Respect quiet hours.

Meals
1.Arrive promptly for meals.
2.Clean up after yourself—and help others when needed.
3.Maintain a respectful attitude. Remember, the cooks are volunteers, not personal servers—ask kindly if you need something.
4.Always say thank you!

Prohibited Items and Behavior
The following are strictly prohibited and may result in dismissal from camp:

1. Alcohol, drugs, vaping, smoking, or any related substances.
2.Weapons of any kind, including guns, knives, and fireworks.
3.Pranks, fighting, or physical aggression.
4.Inappropriate physical contact.
5.Immodest or inappropriate clothing.
6.Use of offensive language.
7.Disrespect toward staff or fellow campers.
8.Littering, vandalism, or mistreating the camp property.
9.Leaving trash or water bottles around the campgrounds.

Consequences for Misconduct
Campers who fail to follow these rules will receive a warning based on the severity of the offense. Continued infractions or serious violations will result in parental notification and dismissal from camp.
